Don’t waste your money at Korean BBQ restaurants, because you can get the same quality in the comfort of your home! This sweet and savory pork bulgogi, known as Dwaeji Bulgogi (돼지불고기) in Korean, is one of the easiest and most accessible dishes ever—all you need to do is marinate your meat and grill it, making it ideal for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.
Slice the pork into thin, flat, bite-sized pieces. Thin slices ensure quick and even cooking.
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and minced garlic. Add the pork slices to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for deeper flavor.
Use a cast iron or stainless steel skillet for optimal browning. Heat the skillet over medium-high heat until it's hot.
Add a small amount of oil to the skillet (less if the pork is fatty). Place the marinated pork slices in the skillet in a single layer. Let them sear without moving for about 3-4 minutes to achieve a good caramelization. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the pork is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.
Transfer the cooked pork to a serving plate. Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve hot.
