Servings: 2
Prep time: 35 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
350g pork shoulder (or collar or belly, whichever you prefer)
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp minced garlic
Green onion and sesame seeds (for optional garnish)
Instructions
Cut the pork into thin and flat bite-sized strips.
Marinate the pork in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and minced garlic, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
Preheat a skillet, preferably cast iron or stainless steel. You want the pan to get HOT for the best browning and caramelization of the sauce.
Add oil to the skillet. If the meat is fatty, use less oil.
Grill the pork pieces for about 7-8 minutes, longer or shorter depending on the thickness of your meat. Lay them flat first and let them brown before flipping them over, then stir-fry until the sauce thickens and the moisture evaporates.
Garnish with chopped green onion and toasted sesame seeds.
Wrap it in lettuce, or enjoy with rice or your favorite noodles!
